Friends of Pickle Frogs is the fund raising committee for Glebe Infants and Picklenash Junior School and we would like to offer you a warm welcome to our page. We hope you will find lots of useful information about our fundraising activities and events. Friends of Pickle Frogs is a combined charity made up of the former FROGS at Glebe Infants and PSA at Picklenash. The two charities have been joined together in the spirit of our Federated schools to enhance the fundraising capacity and people power to run events within our school community and the community of Newent.

Friends of Pickle Frogs contributes in a number of ways to enhance the social, emotional and learning experience the children have at both schools and include funding school books, our outdoor learning area, school trips, equipment in both playgrounds and learning equipment in our classrooms.

We are always happy to see new members and friends, so if you would like to become involved you will be made very welcome. The meetings are generally held once every six weeks which are informal and friendly with tea and biscuits to enjoy. If you can support at any events or want to join us at our meetings let the office staff know or look out for the committee members around the school. Our future meetings and events will be updated on this page.

• April - Family Bingo and Games Evening raised £242.55 
• March - Reception Cake Sale raised £79.00
• January - Year 3/4 Cake Sale raised £66.50

2018

• December - Christmas Discos raised £786.87
• December - Christmas Raffles at the Glebe Christmas Play raised £33.57
• November - Year 1/2 Cake Sale raised £63.50
• October - Harvest Festival at Glebe School, raised £56.00 from tea and cake sales.
• October -  Years 5/6 cake sale raised £67.77. 

• June - Summer Barbecue raised a fantastic £1160.27. This money will help fund school drips in the coming new school year and new dictionaries for Glebe and Picklenash have been bought.
• March - Easter Assembly raised £46 from a raffle and donations for tea/coffee.  A special thank you to Co-op Newent for donating delicious hot cross buns.
• March - Family Bingo and Games Night - raised £202.85 - huge thanks to Mr Larner for being a great bingo caller, to the PTA helpers and to the local companies who donated Easter Eggs (Naylor Powell, Steve Gooch and Seymour Newsagents)
• February - Glebe Bedtime Story Evening - raised £112.50 - a big thank you to volunteers and Mr Larner

2017

• December - Christmas School Discos - raised £781.65 - a big thank you to volunteers and teachers
• Summer Fete and BBQ on Friday 23 June 2017 raised £2,400. We had a bar, pig roast, entertainment and stalls plus raffle with 32 super prizes.  Additional activities included face painting, soak the teacher, Strawberry Hill Dancers, School Orchestra and East meets West dance club. Thank you to everyone who helped raise this fantastic amount.
